Day 4 EU: Knights and castles and flowers, oh my!

Soooo, as the Alsatian wine begins to take hold, we are now cruising through β€œcastle alley” of Germany. Something like 40-50 castles along the Rhine in a fairly short sequence of time. Of course, Sonny and I reached our quota fairly early . . . and took naps! It was also a little chilly on the upper deck today. However, to her credit, Laura as the enthusiast she is, claims she got a photo of each of the 40-50 castles we passed. I believe her!

Beyond that, we had a great detailed tour of the Marksburgh Castle and a fine walk through Koblenz. Just remember β€œonce a knight, always a knightβ€”but once a knight is enough.”

  1. Gorgeous!! So beautiful and so much history over there. Wine and beer not too bad either! πŸ˜‚ Soak in those temps-we’re withering away over here! Tell Laura her fence roses are still beautiful though!
